Later this man handed over his shop to his son K C Das. Krishna Chandra Das was a Bengali entrepreneur, confectioner and businessman of the early 20th century.Rossogolla is famous all over the world. Now everyone makes it but the tasty ones you will get it over here only.This is located at Esplanade area and it is known as the heart of the city. Most of the time whenever people go to New Market for shopping, they end up having sweets from here, though it has many outlets throughout West Bengal. Ganguram is a sweet shop cum confectionary which is located at the Everest House of Chowringhee Road. The owner GanguramChaurasia in 1880s had come to Kolkata from Varanasi and started to work in a shop owned by Raja Kamala Prasad Mukherjee. The shop got shut down for some reason. The Raja had gifted Ganguram a plot of land in the Manicktala region as because he was happy with his service. Ganguram started a small sweet shop here. since then, till date this shop is still functioning in the city. Kolaveri Di Sandesh is their exclusive product. Right now, they have 27 outlets and have more than 200 delicacies. Their products are catered to prestigious government offices, reputed corporate houses, multi cuisine restaurants, high society marriages and so on.
